Pro Bono Opportunities
The MSBA and its members help ensure fairness for all in the justice system, regardless of how much money a person has. We connect members with opportunities for pro bono legal service and promote the value and importance of pro bono work, as expressed in Rule 6.1 of the Rules of Professional Conduct.
Opportunities to Help Low-Income Minnesotans
Provide access to justice for low-income Minnesotans by taking on a pro bono case or other opportunity tailored to your availability and interest. This resource connects you to organizations needing volunteers and provides access to an extensive library of forms and practice materials, an events calendar, and postings of new pro bono opportunities.
Minnesota Legal Advice Online
Make a limited commitment that is entirely online. The MLAO website allows low-income individuals to get brief advice from volunteer attorneys.
Additional Pro Bono Opportunity
Wills for Heroes
Assist police officers, firefighters and EMTs in preparing basic estate planning documents to protect themselves and their families. Training is available.
Recognition and CLE Credit

A Lawyer may claim 1 hour of standard CLE credit for every 6 hours of pro bono legal representation that the lawyer provides. Contact the program you volunteer through, or the CLE Board for details.
